Silver Legacy Resort CasinoUser reviews for Silver Legacy Resort Casino
By • Just okay
Overall Rating: 6 The room price was terrific. The rest was just okay.
They had an emergency water shut off the night we stayed. It was very inconvenient but the water was restored within 45 minutes. Smoke free lobby, a plus
for a casino hotel. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By cnaisme2003 from Modesto, CA • First Time to Reno
Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [8] The Silver Legacy was great! I loved it. The bathroom could have been a little bit nicer, but the beds were soft, the employees were friendly, food was great! Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [8] • Service [10] • Value [10] I thought the hotel was nice. The front desk was most helpful and the room service was faster than you waiting in a drive thru at McDonalds. I would stay here again. Overall Rating: 8 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [8] The hotel is very nice, but the rooms are a little small. We had a good time but if you don't like to gamble there's not much of anything else to do. Definately not
Vegas!Nothing to see around the hotel. Nice malls on the South end if you get a taxi but not alot of really great stores. For a paid business trip I would probably go back. If I had to choose where I was going its not one of my top picks. It really reminds me of the old area on Fremont street in Vegas but not near as pretty!! Somewhat dirty outside on the streets. We didn't venture outside after dark as it was really cold 40"s. I didn't feel safe walking the streets at night. A lot of bums sleeping around the River walk area. Help was very friendly and hotel very clean and pretty. I prefer Vegas but you might like the slower atmosphere! Overall Rating: 2 Room was dark and smoky (was NOT given option of smoking or non-smoking, they just assigned smoking). All floors above 9 are Smoking rooms. Room was run down - lamp broken, toilet seat chipped, the floor's ice machine Out of Service. Was billed in error $68.99 for movies I didn't select, had to talk to 4 people to straighten it out and was given the criminal treatment the whole time. Entered elevator on 15th floor -- it lurched a few times, the panel board went black, and I was trapped for 1/2 an hour. Fortunately manager was on hand through elevator phone to call elevator service to get me out, although I was put off my how, even while in the elevator, they kept saying, "See the mgr to sign a witness statement" as though they were terrified of being sued. Then, when I went to the mgr, they were snippy and rude, and said, "While we'd love to compensate you for your trouble, since you paid through Yahoo we CAN'T reimburse your hotel cost..(Approx $150) but we CAN give you a free breakfast OR dinner (whoopee.) They gave me 1 $10.99 free rental movie, and this was AFTER they had MISTAKENLY billed me over $68.99 for movies, adult and regular, which I had NOT ordered, but which when you preview by flipping through channels, can get stuck on your bill very easily. I called down to the front desk each time I was a movie bill get stuck on wrong, and they kept saying, we'll take care of it, but they didn't, and I had to talk to them about it over 4 times. Altogether - BAD SERVICE BAD HOTEL. THUMBS DOWN. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By rubyb_5 from CA • Elegant and exciting in a great central location.
Overall Rating: 8 Location [10] • Room [8] • Service [8] • Value [6] My husband and I stayed at the Silver Legacy for a weekend to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The staff was very accommodating, helping my husband to have the room decorated with flowers for our arrival. The hotel had a restaurant for every taste and price range. The slots and table play were all very clean and up-to-date and it was very easy to get comp. drinks while playing. Silver Legacy is connected to the El Dorado and Circus Circus too, so your options for play/entertainment are endless. Also located on the main strip so many day activities are within walking. Some friends of ours were also able to phone the hotel and purchase a gift certificate towards our stay/dinner as a gift, which was a nice surprise. Overall Rating: 6 The room was nice and clean but the clerks at the front desk were rather rude and unhelpful. They charged me for the third person (which I had already paid). When I checked out and told the person not to charge me again...she did anyway. I will be calling to get this charge reversed. Overall Rating: 8 We stay at Silver Legacy often when we go to Reno. We have tried other hotels and they are nice, but we like to upgrade to the Jacuzzi Suites. The jacuzzi sits right under the window on a platform, if you are lucky enough to get a view of the hills its beautiful especially in the winter when there is snow on the surrounding mountains. There are several restaruants in the hotel. Sterlings is a nice steak house, however everytime we have eaten there the service has been terrible, we prefer the Harrahs steakhouse for a good steak and great service. The jacuzzi rooms are nice, standard rooms are typical casino type rooms. The location is great as the hotel is connected to circus circus and El Dorado, so you can take advantage of the walkways and enjoy all the restraunts of the three hotels. We have always had good service from the staff and room service when we have chosen to use it has been perfectly fine. Always have a fine stay when we stay at Silver Legacy. Overall Rating: 4 Location [8] • Room [6] • Service [4] • Value [8] The room was average hotel fare. There wasn't an in-room safe for valuables. The restaurant sevice was very good. The laser light show highlighting the huge silver mine replica at the casino center wasn't working - for an entire week! Access to other casinos was easy. Overall Rating: 6 Location [10] • Room [4] • Service [4] • Value [6] Great location. Bathroom light was so dim I couldn't see anything in there and there was no bathroom fan. Room was very small but clean. Safe place to stay since only guests can get on the elevators (have to show room card to enter)-- Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | |
