User reviews for RAMADA INN GOVERNOR HOUSE
By Hidden Vacations User from Seattle WA • Very pleasant stay. Great value.
Overall Rating: 8 Location [10] • Room [8] • Service [8] • Value [8] Stayed on New Years eve. Pleasantly surprised to find that the previous reviews are no longer true! The carpet on the main floor could stand to be replaced, and the tub and sink in our room showed signs of wear, but the hotel (and our room) was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the service excellent. The complementary breakfast included a buffet of many choices. The hotel has a sauna,... [more] hot tub spa and exercise room. It is right across from a beautiful park with a lake and walking/jogging path: we saw a variety of birds, including a heron and also a beaver. Waterfront restaurants are closeby, and we found the hotel restaurant to be good as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. [less]

Overall Rating: 2 Location [6] • Room [2] • Service [4] • Value [2] By all means, if possible, avoid this location!
Everything about this hotel is OLD - no not antique, but OLD, worn out, used up and un-kept.
The bathroom of our assigned room was DIRTY! The bathroom included stained wallpaper from the 1970's, yellow spots of mold growing on the ceiling, a cracked toilet, a non-draining chipped tub/shower stall and a non-existent ... [more]fan with a visible vent collecting dirt, dust and grime. The elevator is RICKEDTY and extremely slow. The elevator floor is dangerous when wet, and during our stay was ALWAYS wet from visitors to the TINY pool.
The guest laundry offers ONE washer and dryer for SEVEN FLOORS of guests!
There is not enough parking for guests when guests pull in after 8pm. The lot is open to anyone (guests or not) wishing to pay $3 for daily parking (Guests are given a parking pass) and becomes full very quickly. Street parking is offered at city meter costs.
The website to this hotel offers deceiving photographs as nothing looks as nice as the photos show.
Please beware that right now this hotel is a horrible location and MUST be renovated or closed down. [less]

Overall Rating: 4 Location [6] • Room [2] • Service [6] This hotel is dirty, old and needs upkeep. Bath tubs and faucets are gross. They give you high speed internet access but the only connection is near the bed and not the desk!
Not everyone wants to work sitting on the bed. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | |
