The location is grandiose, all rooms have a great view on the beach. You can just relax in the room and watch the tide go up or down. At any time of the day or night the view is breathtaking. You can walk down a few stairs and you're on an expanse of beach calling for a run, a walk, or just a beach chair to lounge on and take on the sun rays. Remember to take your car cover with you, the parking lot gets a lot of myst from the surf when there is wind. [less]

We have stayed at the Shilo Oceanfront Resort in Newport, OR as well as their other establishments in different cities. I am always impressed with their service.
The ease of reservations and being able to have an oceanfront room on the floor you wish, is a big plus.
The staff is always willing to accomodate your requests. The overall experience leaves you going home happy.

This hotel is all about location, location, location. Nye beach is beautiful with long, wide sandy beaches alongside quaint cafes and coffee houses. No matter where you stay on this beach, you will enjoy the space.
This hotel is located directly on the beach and is a convention hotel. Rooms are certainly overpriced for what you get, but are spacious and clean with gorgeous ocean views.... [more] If you cannot get a good price at this hotel I would look at one of the nearby properties...the Elizabeth Inn or Best Western. [less]
