User reviews for TRAVELODGE SALEM
By michelleako from Seattle, WA • Not bad, not spectacular
Overall Rating: 6 Location [6] • Room [8] • Service [6] • Value [8] The room was HUGE. There were 2 king beds in our room, with room to spare. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The outside looks like a Travelodge - nothing fancy. The downside of our stay was that there was a huge party of people in multiple rooms, and they were running back and forth and yelling across the building and in the parking lot at night and early in the morning. It wasn't... [more] too bad at night, as we cranked up the air conditioning to drown out most of the noise. The room was stuffy and hot when we first entered, but cooled down quickly.
Not a bad place as long as you don't run into a noisy party. [less]

Overall Rating: 8 Location [6] • Room [8] • Service [8] • Value [8] | Clean, comfortable, friendly | | a little hard to find State Street. |
Clean and spacey room, desk clerk and Maint personnel were friendly and helpful. When I got in the room the smoke detector battery was low and kept beeping, however within 5 minutes of calling the desk, it was replaced. Motel was a little hard to find if coming into Salem other then right off the I-5 exit at State street, (I came into Salem off the Keiser exit from Portland). Motel is located c... [more]lose to the State Capitol Area.
State Street is about two blocks south of Central Street which is the main throughway in downtown Salem. I just spent one night, but overall the stay was very good. [less]

Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] I needed a place to stay while driving through Salem and I really didn't want to spend too much. I've usually had good experiences at Travelodges in the past so I gave this one a try. I was very impressed. This is by far the best Travelodge I have stayed in. The management was friendly, the rooms were clean and the price was right! Overall, I got exactly what I was looking for.....Value! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | |
