A fabulous older hotel, nicely updated. Excellent location. Staff was very courteous and attentive and most helpful. The room, although not overly large, was comfortable and had all the amenities I look for and value - a desk, good lighting, high-speed internet connection (free!), comfortable bed with soft linens, soft, fluffy towels.

Minor annyoances: not much shelf space in the b... [more]athroom (I tend to spread out...), and it was impossible to regulate the hot water in the shower to a constant temperature, had to continually re-adjust. But then again, I was on the 12th (top) floor, so maybe that was a factor. And this being an older hotel, the elevators were rather on the slow side.

But the positive far outweighed the negative, and I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. [less]

The location cannot be beat and the staff is very friendly. The suites are large and comfortable. The hotel is lovely and historic. I've stayed there many times and highly recommend this property.
