The oldest and largest resort in Key West, the Casa Marina Resort was built in 1920 and now serves as a base for business and leisure travelers who want the best locations close to the area's sites, sounds and smells. The hotel is near many of Miami's popular attractions. What's more, the hotel boasts the largest private beach in Key West more than 1,000 feet of pristine beachfront. Surrounded by lush lawns, sculpted hedges and tropical gardens, the Casa Marina resort includes two pools, three tennis courts, wireless Internet access and lots of water sports. A nearby hotel provides a health spa and additional pool.

Guests also can rent bicycles, scooters, jet skis, sailboats, kayaks and snorkel and scuba gear. For fees, they can engage in parasailing, wakeboarding and waterskiing on the beach. From the resort's pier, guests can join snorkeling, scuba diving and dolphin viewing excursions, go deep sea or flats fishing, and sail aboard catamarans at sunset. Upon returning, they can experience the grand dining room and seafood, steaks and chops of the Casa Marina's Flagler's Restaurant, named after the man who built the original hotel.

Casa Marina guestrooms include pastel walls, tropical print fabrics and carpeted floors. Ceiling fans and crown molding lend rooms classic resort style.

Built by Florida developer Henry Flagler on Key West's south shore in 1920, this exquisite resort is listed on the National Historic Register. A children's pool and supervised activities attract vacationing families. The beach has lots of blue umbrellas and folding chairs.
