If you're looking for a place that will remind you that you're in Alaska, this isn't the hotel for you. It is located directly across the street from the Juneau airport and can be seen from the terminal. Walks around the hotel are not especially pleasant because it is an industrial area (the window from our room faced the back parking lot of a hardware store where delivery trucks wer... On the other hand, it is about 5 miles from the Mendenhall Glacier and it has all the amenities a business traveler would want. It also has a small (3 1/2 deep) inside swimming pool for the kids. It's a bit a drive into Juneau but since most of the tourists arrive on cruise ships, there isn't a lot of automobile traffic and parking downtown is easy to find. [less]

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The room was very clean, lots of amenities come standard and the belgium waffles are fabulous to wake up to. I would stay there again without hesitation.
My only disappointment was the lady at the front desk who should be very welcoming and was not. When a chain advertises first class customer service, every guest should recie... [more]ve a smile when you are checking in.
