By • Really Nice Experience - Great value at the off-season rate anyway

The continental breakfast was great. They are located very conveniently - right next to I-90 - and centrally located in the Black hills. Peak season rates are a little pricy in my opinion, but if it is what the market will bear ...
The only glitch was we agreed t... [more]o stay an extra night and got freebie tickets to Bear Country USA. Staff ASSURED me that the extra night would be at the same off-season rate we had paid the first few nights. When we got the bill the last night had been charged at the new peak season rate.
When I asked about it, the lady who did the billing was not very nice and kind of insinuated I was cheap. "After all, you DID get the courtesy tickets to Bear Country USA". Unfortunately the manager was unavailable. It took a couple of weeks after our departure to finally catch up with the manager but he graciously straightened it out and refunded us the overcharge. Overall Rating: 8 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [8] • Value [8] We were impressed with our overall experience while on vacation. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The continental breakfast was EXCELLENT and I willingly recommend this facility as a good value for your stay in the Black Hills area.

The Americinn Rapid City is an outstanding and inviting property, that is the best place to call home while traveling on business or pleasure. The great number of amenities, facilities and extras this hotel features makes it an enjoyable place to stay. An overall atmosphere of friendliness will delight guests when they check in, for this hotel is well attuned to the individual needs of all its visitors. In addition, area attractions and venues that guests will want to experience are within the vicinity, making it fun to get to know the area. When it comes to the hotel s accommodations, guests will find everything they want and need. With gracefully appointed guest rooms that are well stocked with the modern amenities travelers expect today, the hotel goes a long way to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. Adding to the overall pleasure of a stay here is the attentive and personable staff. Always professional, the knowledgeable staff is on call for every guest's needs and requests. The hotel is close to area dining, entertainment and shopping venues.
