Overall Rating: 4 Location [4] • Room [10] • Service [4] • Value [6] Checked in went to room and it was very nice.Took a stroll and found casino small and cramped. Next went to check out the pool. Found it very small and closed for season. (1st week of Oct.? )Was never informed when we booked. Asst. manager at front desk said they had no control since pool, clubs and eateries are run by an outside Co.He told us we could get a refund and go somewhere else. He never ... [more]offered us any comp. to keep us there. They really didn`t care. They never refunded our money until numerous calls were made after we got home, and threatened legal action because of their misrepresentations on web-site. Went to Mandalay Bay, told them abouy or bad experience and were immediately upgraded to a suite without even asking, that`s how to treat a customer. [less]

Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] The Palms is a hip, trendy hotels/casino which caters to everone. You don't have to be young and rich to be welcome at the Palms. All are welcome and treated with respect by a friendly, caring staff. A fun place for one and all. Overall Rating: 2 Location [6] • Room [2] • Service [2] • Value [2] This site asks you to write 2-3 paragraphs for your review, I could write 2-3 pages on how over-rated this place is.
The customer service was the worst I have ever experienced in Las Vegas. I've stayed at Mirage, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and the Four Seasons and the customer service was increadible, it has to be in such a competitive industry. But at the Palms I guess you have ... [more]to be Brittney Spears, Dennis Rodman, or some other celeberity who is in good with the Maloofs to get any kind of service at the Palms.
We received smoking rooms instead of the non-smoking rooms we had requested. We left our room to play golf on Monday around 11am. When we returned after 7pm our room had not been refreshed. The waitstaff on the floor of the casino were very rude and so were the dealers. After our group won $$ at the dice table we decided to leave and go to Bellagio and that was the best thing we could have done.
If your worried about the location, don't be. Being off the strip wasn't a problem at all, as a matter of fact, it was quite nice to be away from the madness.
If your going to party, this is probably a great place. We didn't get to hit the Ghost Bar because it was closed for a private function the night we wanted to go so we went somewhere else but I'm sure it would have lived up to the billing. Rain was closed but we knew that before we got there (it's only open thur-sat) and it probably would have lived up to the hype as well. Since we couldn't party at the hotel we were left with just the casino and as a casino, the Palms just doesn't get it done. I wouldn't stay there again. There are just too many other good choices to settle for this one. [less]
