it was an incredible bargain for the area and a decent place to stay. Well located at the right price. cant go wrong here.

I made reservations in advance and was told I could use a gift certificate I had received for Christmas. Upon arriving with my two children I was told that they would not honor the gift certificate because they were booked to maximum capacity. However they did tell me that I could use the gift certificate at another time. Despite that fact that I had made reservations I had to pay.
We went to the pool to swim and found that on top of the pool area being filthy, there were not any towels despite the fact that there was a large sign in our room stating that towels were available at the pool and the room towels were not to be removed from the room. I tried calling the front desk from the "emergency" pool phone however it didn't work. I walked to the front desk and asked for towels and she assured me they would be right down. Wrong again. Even the next morning when we went back to the pool, the tables were still covered in all of the garbage from the day before, the dirty towel bin was overflowing onto the floor and there still were not any clean towels.
Although the rates were reasonable and the rooms were comfortable, I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone merely for their lack of customer service and complete lack of response.

I usually try to support independent businesses so I was deeply disappointed by this non-chain hotel in beautiful Burlington. It has 2 buildings which are not connected by covered/heated walkway, making the early AM trip to the continental breakfast in the other building a chilly affair. My room was in the old building where the indoor-outdoor carpet hasn't been cleaned since the Nixon administration. No basics, such as hairdryer, iron/board, coffee maker in the room. Very thin walls -- I could hear the person next door snoring. Pool area was filthy and saunas didn't work. Next time I'll choose a chain hotel that has cleanliness and service standards.

I have stayed there twice since my daughter started college at UVM. The room has a great location near the unversity and shopping. It also has a shuttle to the airport, you can leave your car, that makes it great when coming into town to fly. No way is it a roach motel as another description stated.

	nice common areas such as the breakfast area
	rooms quite dirty, pool very poorly maintained

our stay at the university inn and suites started with us being given the wrong room, a mistake which was not corrected. we then found an old piece of bagel(presumably from the breakfast bar) on our floor. we left said bagel in its spot on the floor where it remained for the two day duration of our stay(despite the room being"cleaned"). the indoor pool was another story. absolutely filthy with torn and tattered and equally filthy wall to wall carpet. the furniture in the rooms as well as the bedding was stained, the bathrooms were showing their age and the walls are paper thin. all in all we would not recommend this hotel nor would we go back.

this is a great hotel i would suggest this to anyone it has a pool, sauna, and hot tub! plus a big plus is it has high speed internet ports in some rooms!!!
