What's with this hotel? For the price of one small room, you can rent a condo at the Phonix!

I mean...the place is rather classy but who cares that much to have to pay more for that? Most people are looking for value and besides......how much class is needed for a family in wet bathing suits and sandy feet?

On another note.......our hearts and prayers should be with these people ... [more]out there at Perido Beach and Orange beach who took a direct hit from Ivan. Hope you guys build back bigger and better from all this! [less]

The only issues that I had with the hotel is that the room was simply too plain to have cost so much per night. There was no microwave, refrigerator, or any other "frills". We did have a spectacular view of the beautiful pool and the beach. I also had an issue with finding 2 large roaches in my room. After we killed them, I still couldn't rest easily.
