Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic CityUser reviews for Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City
By Hidden Vacations User from Philly, PA • Just Average
Overall Rating: 6 Location [10] • Room [6] • Service [6] • Value [4] We had two rooms here, both on the same floor, although, no too close to each other. One was a basic "hotel" room- bed, couch, clean bathroom- but did have a half view of the ocean. Yhe other was amazing! HUGE room with a "seperate" sitting room! We paid the same for both rooms.
When we arived, we were paraded through the casino to the steps to the elevator, only problem was we had a double stroller w/ our two cranky babies. So, we found a staff member, who was very friendly, who showed us to a diffrent bank of elevators w/ a handicaped ramp, but did not know how to get to our rooms once we were up stairs. So we wondered around and found them.
We were excited to take our babies swiming at the roof-top swiming pool, only to find out that the pool has crazy hours, something like, 9am- 2pm. Check out is noon, and check in is 2pm. So if you are only staying one night, you are kind of out of luck, although it is the most beautiful pool I have ever seen.
This was our first stay in AC, the second time, we stayed at the Ho-Jo for $49 a night, and had just as much fun.
Save the "Hotel" money for the casino! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By Hidden Vacations User from cranford, nj • Over priced/ bait and switch
Overall Rating: 2 • Service [2] I was reviewing them online. Average price, 69 dlrs. Punch date, for one night stay, and 6 rooms available, all at 250+. Not even close to 69. What a joke, I feel like Im dealing with a Used Car salesman. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By • Ripped Off by Chris Gordon in reservations
Overall Rating: 2 I bcame very ill today, and my doctor ordered me not to go on a business trip. Despite my explnantion and that I offered medical documentation I was refused a refund of my deposit, because I was short of the 72 hour notice. Today is Friday. Ny reservation was for Sunday.
Since Chris the reservation manager was cold hearted to me, I thought I would advise anyone never to do business with thus establishment. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By ninamariie from Cranford, NJ • The Only Good Service is ROOM SERVICE
Overall Rating: 2 I made a reservation back in August for a weekend stay. My reservations were to stay in the New RenDeVous Tower, but of course, They booked it all up (and I had just ignored my reservation!) So they stuck me in the regular room in ocean tower with a view of... A ROOF. WOW! It gets worse...
We ordered dinner (Room Service) The Food was TERRIBLE! Not to mention it was delivered COLD! But they were very nice... Nicer than anyone there.
Still Not Done. Everytime we relaxed to watch TV... NOTHING BUT PORN kept coming on the Movie Channel. And we did not order it. When going to rent movies... the remote wouldnt work... I called the Front Desk 6 times... and was put on hold for 10 minutes (each time) before desciding to hang up! Then when Finally reaching the Manager she told me there was NOTHING she could do the TV technician was not there... My name was not on the welcome screen so Im guessing I was NOT entered in the system as staying there.
The Phone (in the room) all of the buttons were wrong, when ever I called for Room Service I would get Security, Front Desk I would get Bell Hop, It was So screwed up. Not to mention at check out they had charges of long distance calls - (we only used our cell phones)
When I checked out the next morning I gave a list of complaints to the Manager (of the Front Desk) I will NEVER EVER stay there again, I even REFUSE to gamble there. They will never see a penny from me again...
RUDE, NEVER THEIR PROBLEM, NOTHING THEY CAN DO, NO APOLOGIES, JUST INEXPERIENCED TRASH TRYING TO BE SOPHISTICATED... THATS ALL THE RESORTS IS.
Want to stay somewhere GREAT... Go to the Taj Mahal! ***** Ratings! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By Hidden Vacations User from Washington, DC • Terrible Experience At Resorts
Overall Rating: 2 Location [6] • Room [4] • Service [2] • Value [4] We went to Atlantic City in early June of 2005. We had reserved three rooms at Resorts for our group of six people. When we arrived at 9 PM, one of the rooms was still not ready. The manager would not give us a timeframe for when the room would be ready and told us to check back "later." At 11 PM, the room was still not ready and we told the front desk that we would be making arrangements elsewhere for the two people who were supposed to have stayed in the room.
Imagine our surprise when we checked out and found that we were charged for the room that was never delivered to us. Resorts' policy is that once you show up, they charge you for the room. Never mind that the room was not ready at 11 PM.
The manager's attitude was, essentially, "Too bad. You checked in." She was completely rude to us and never so much as apologized for not being able to deliver us the room that we had reserved. We found that response to be flabbergasting. In the hospitality industry, especially in a place like Atlantic City, making your customers want to come back to your hotel is the most important thing. Resorts does not seem to understand this concept.
We will never go back to Resorts again. If Resorts cares so little about my satisfaction, I will take my business elsewhere. With such a low level of devotion to customer-happiness, it is no wonder places like Resorts are getting killed by the Borgatta and the Tropicana. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | |
