The Kate Shepard House Bed & Breakfast

Description

This lovely house is nestled in 100 year old Magnolia trees in historic Mobile. It was built in 1897 and designed by well-known architect George Franklin Barber. It features original fireplaces and mantles, stained glass windows, hardwood floors and light fixtures. The Kate Shepard House Bed & Breakfast is minutes away from the Mobile Convention Center and the USS Alabama. Bellingrath Gardens, outlet malls and antique shops are also just a short drive away.

There are two guest rooms. The interiors of the rooms combine yesterday's history with today's comforts and offer a homey, intimate atmosphere. The Mobile Bay Room has a queen bed, private bath with antique claw foot tub. Isabelle's Room has a queen bed, private bath with tub and shower combination.

A full Southern breakfast is served daily. Sip complimentary Fruit Tea, Sherry or Port while browsing The Shepard Library, which includes family memorabilia dating back to the 1800's. Other amenities include fresh fruit, baked snacks, and bottled water.
