Montgomery ZooDescriptionThe Montgomery Zoo spans over 40 beautifully landscaped acres, and offers visitors a magnificent view of exotic wildlife and endangered species. More than 700 animals from 5 different continents are housed in natural, "barrier free" habitats. Visitors can explore the Zoo by foot or take a ride on the miniature train. There is an aviary that houses a variety of birds native to the South American Tropics. The reptile house hosts some of the world's most venomous snakes. They are nested in natural settings, and visitors can watch them from a safe distance. The Overlook Cafe is surrounded by animals, offering a view unique to the zoo.

Operating HoursThe Montgomery Zoo opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. The last ticket is sold at 4:30 p.m. The Zoo is open year round with the exception of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Getting ThereThe Zoo is situated south off Northern Blvd. between Lower Wetumpka Road and Colisem Blvd. Access to the Montgomery Zoo is available from either Northern Blvd, Vandiver Blvd, or Fairground Road.
