Old Alabama TownDescriptionOld Alabama Town, the South’s premier history village, stretches along six blocks in the heart of historic downtown Montgomery. Step back in time and get a taste of what life was like in 19th-century. Old Alabama Town includes authentically restored 19th and 20th century structures. Each building creates its own distinctive image of living in Alabama’s past. You'll see a one-room schoolhouse, a church, barns, elegant mansions and tiny poor houses.
ToursGuided tours start from Education and Reception Center, 301 Columbus Street. All tours last 1 hour.
Museum ShopAt the Museum Shop visitors may purchase regional books, pottery, old-fashioned games and toys, and many other interesting gifts and souvenirs. The shop is located in the Reception Center and open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
