Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeologicial ParkDescriptionLocated near Sky Harbor Airport and downtown Phoenix, this park was once the site of a 500-acre Hohokam village supporting about 1,000 people and containing homes, storage rooms, and cemeteries. An excavated ballcourt, and to full-scale reproductions of prehistoric Hohokam homes can be viewed along the ruin trail. Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeologicial Park also features three exhibition galleries, displaying the Hohokam culture and archaeological methods. Children will particularly like the hands-on, interactive learning center.
