Chapel of the Holy CrossDescriptionLocated among Sedona's red rocks, the Chapel of the Holy Cross seems to rise out of the surrounding rock formations. The simple building with the towering cross is one of the recognizable Sedona landmarks. The Chapel of the Holy Cross was designed by Marguerite Brunswig Staude, a pupil of Frank Lloyd Wright.
They say, the Chapel has some spiritual power. Visitors go away refreshed and energized. Many find solutions to impossible situations and leave with peace in their heart. No one knows exactly, is it the Chapel itself, or its awesome surroundings of rocks, valley and sky, but this place is really worth visiting.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is also the place that offers incredible photo opportunities, especially at sunset. There is a gift shop offering religious articles including a large selection of unusual crosses and rosaries of native stones.
Operating HoursThe Chapel of the Holy Cross is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, Good Friday and Easter.
Visitors are invited to attend a brief evening prayer service on Monday evenings at 5 p.m.
