Arizona-Sonora Desert MuseumDescriptionDon't be mislead by the name! Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a beautifully planned zoo and botanical garden showcasing the diverse flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert. Cactus wrens, rattlesnakes, tarantulas and scorpions, prairie dogs and desert bighorn sheep are on display in very natural settings. One of the best exhibits is the walk-in hummingbird aviary. There are two dining options -- the cafeteria-style Ironwood Terraces and the sit-down restaurant Ocotillo Cafe, which both serve good food. The gift shop offers books about Arizona and the desert, plus jewelry and crafts.
