Turpentine Creek Wildlife RefugeDescriptionTurpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is located 7 miles south of Eureka Springs, on 450 beautiful acres in the Ozark Mountains. The Refuge is home for more than 100 large animals, including lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, bears, and monkeys. Turpentine Creek's mission is to rescue unwanted, abused, or neglected animals and to provide lifetime refuge. At Turpentine Creek animals live in natural habitat areas.
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge offers overnight accommodations for those visitors who wish to hear lions, tigers and other animals calling to each other throughout the night. Photographers can join the PhotoWild session and get unique and valuable pictures. A small children's playground, comfortable swings and benches for relaxing, and a gift shop are on site.
Entrance FeeAdults: $15 Seniors (65 and over): $10 Children (ages 4-12): $10 Children 3 and under are admitted free.
Operating HoursOpen year round from 9 a.m. until dusk. Closed on Christmas Day.
