Palm Springs Desert MuseumDescriptionThe Palm Springs Desert Museum was established in 1938, and has become the center of the desert’s art community. The modern building of the museum, designed by renowned California architect E. Stewart Williams, is the focal point of the 125,000-square-foot complex that houses several wide-ranging collections of contemporary and traditional art, including works by such artists as Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, and Helen Frankenthaler. The Palm Springs Art Museum also houses collections of Native American and Mesoamerican Art.
