California State Railroad MuseumDescriptionThe California State Railroad Museum is located in Old Sacramento, near what was once the terminus of the transcontinental and Sacramento Valley railroads. It is regarded as one of North America’s largest and most visited railroad museums. The 100,000-square-foot museum has 21 locomotives and railroad cars on display along with dozens of other exhibits, including a massive toy-train display. The Railroad Museum offers a wide variety of activities to help visitors experience the magic of railroading: regularly changing exhibits, special events amd authentic train rides.
Entrance FeeAdults: $8 Youths (ages 6-17): $3 Children ages 5 and under are free.
Operating HoursThe Museum is open daily (except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day) from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.
