SeaWorld San DiegoDescriptionOne of the world's largest marine-life amusement parks, SeaWorld San Diego attracts millions of visitors. The park celebrated its 40th year of operation in 2004. SeaWorld offers fascinating exhibits, shows, and activities. The majority of the exhibits are walk-through marine environments. In the Penguin Encounter, a moving sidewalk passes through an Arctic area where hundreds of emperor penguins slide over glaciers into icy waters. Visitors of Shark Encounter walk through a 57-foot clear acrylic tube, where they come face-to-face with sandtiger, nurse, bonnethead, black-tipped, and white-tipped reef sharks.
The Shamu Adventure, one of the most popular attractions, features the world-famous killer whale, Shamu, performing along with Baby Shamu and Grandbaby Shamu, in a seven-million-gallon stadium. They'll delight you as they interact with each other and their trainers.
