Aspen Art MuseumDescriptionFounded in 1979, the Aspen Art Museum is well-known for its world-class exhibitions of contemporary art from many countries of the world. The museum is located in an historic brick house on the scenic Rio Grande Trail, a short walk from downtown. The museum offers lectures and art education programs for adults and children. The complimentary wine-and-cheese reception is held every Thursday at 5 p.m.

Getting ThereTake Highway 82 to downtown Aspen. Turn north onto Mill Street at the Hotel Jerome. Drive down the hill past the large Rio Grande Park on your right, and cross the bridge over the Roaring Fork River. Just after the bridge, make a sharp right turn into the museum parking lot.
