Cheyenne Mountain ZooDescriptionThe Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is the America's only mountainside zoo. It houses more than 750 animals from around the world, many of them are living in their natural environments. Zoo collection includes wolves, lions, leopards, red pandas, elephants, hippos, monkeys, giraffes, reptiles, snakes, and lots of birds. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is home to more than 30 endangered species, including the Amur leopard, Siberian tiger, and black-footed ferret.
Admission to the zoo includes access to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun, a granite tower built in 1937. The tower affords great views of the city and surrounding countryside.

Operating HoursSummer Hours (from Memorial Day to Labor Day): 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Winter Hours (from Labor Day to Memorial Day): 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Getting ThereCheyenne Mountain Zoo is located in southwest Colorado Springs on the side of Cheyenne Mountain. From Interstate 25, take exit 138 - Circle Drive, go west to the Broadmoor Hotel. Turn right at the hotel and follow the signs to the Zoo.
