Capitol Hill Mansion Bed & BreakfastDescriptionBuilt in 1891, it was one of the last splendid homes erected before the Silver Crash. Then it was restored and remodeled to open as bed & breakfast in January 1994. The elegant exterior of ruby sandstone is in a Richardsonian Romanesque style with high turrets, balconies, soaring chimneys and a grand curving porch. Capitol Hill is on the national and state registers of historic buildings.
The Inn is located in one of the most architecturally outstanding areas of Denver. It is surrounded by historic homes of pioneers, governors, financiers, and mine owners. State Capitol, bus terminal, 16th. Street Pedestrian Mall, Molly Brown House, Convention Center, museums, restaurants, shops are close in walking distance.
The interior of the Inn is also remarkable. Antique but sturdy furnishings, art and greenery are throughout the high ceilinged parlor and dining room and the guestrooms.
