The Boise Art Museum champions excellence in the visual arts through exhibitions, collections and educational experiences. The Boise Art Museum is nationally recognized for leadership, innovation and excellence in the visual arts. The Boise Art Museum (BAM) is the only AAM accredited art museum in the State of Idaho. It began in 1931 as the Boise Art Association when a group of thirty people interested in promoting art in the city of Boise and throughout the state met in the Crystal Lounge of the Hotel Boise. Their purpose was to organize an association whose duties were to acquire and maintain a suitable gallery, hosting traveling exhibitions and promoting fine art in Boise. The DNCFR (Dodge National Finals Rodeo) is the most popular inaugurated competition in Pocatello, Idaho. PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association), and members of the Pocatello-based, Frontier Rodeo Association, have been discussing the idea of a championship competition to feature the circuit champions from across the country for many years. As a result appeared a championship format where champions competed head to head and against each other to decide the winner of the gold champion's buckle of the National Circuit Championship. The Fort Hall Replica is a reproduction of the original Hudson's Bay Fort. The construction was based on plans obtained from the Hudson's Bay Company and extensive research based on early descriptions of the Fort from persons who lived at or visited Fort Hall. A visit to the Fort Hall Replica is to enter the 19th Century world of explorers, trappers, fur traders, Native Americans, pioneers, Gold seekers, historic figures, and common folk; all of whom visited the place called Fort Hall on the banks of the Snake River in what is now Southeast Idaho.
