The permanent collection includes notable paintings by El Greco, Rubens, American Impressionists, and European neo-Impressionists. Other highlights include one of the most outstanding collections of Japanese Edo-period paintings, more than 2,000 objects in the African art collection, and a superb collection of Turner works on paper. The sculpture garden of the Indianapolis Museum of Art includes Robert Indiana's famed LOVE.
