Des Moines Botanical CenterDescriptionDes Moines Botanical Center presents one of the largest collections of ornamental and native plants in the Midwest. More than 1,000 species and varieties of exotic plants from different countries of the world are displayed under the center's 80-foot-tall conservatory dome. The grounds also include outdoor gardens and free-flying exotic birds. The Botanical Center hosts 11 unique floral shows annually and dozens of family-oriented events and specialty shows each month.

Operating HoursThe Botanical Center is open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
