 Baton Rouge Zoo is a great place to take the family. More than 1800 animals await visitors in the beautifully landscaped Zoo. The highlight of the zoo is L'aquarium de Louisiane, which houses fish, reptiles, and amphibians of Louisiana.

 The Gardens of the American Rose Center are botanical gardens dedicated to rose varieties. The gardens occupy 42 acres and feature 20,000 blooms. It is the largest park in the United States dedicated to roses.

 Audubon Aquarium is a world-class marine attraction. Each of the four major exhibit areas - the Amazon Rain Forest, the Mississippi River, the Caribbean Reef, and the Gulf Coast - is home to fish and animals native to that environment.

 Visitors of the Audubon Zoo will see about 1,800 animals (including rare and endangered species). One of the main attractions of the zoo is miss the Louisiana Swamp, re-creating the natural habitat of alligators, nutria, and catfish.

 St. Louis Cathedral is the oldest continuously active cathedral in the United States. Situated in the French Quarter, between the historic buildings of the Cabildo and the Presbytere, it is one of the most recognizable landmarks of New Orleans.

 National D-Day Museum tells the story of all 19 U.S. operations worldwide on June 6, 1944 (World War II). It features a rich collection of weapons, personal items, and other artifacts from the war. A number of documentary films are displayed at the museum.

 Located in beautiful City Park, New Orleans Museum of Art houses a 40,000-piece collection including pre-Columbian and Native American art, European paintings, early American art, Asian art, and one of the six largest decorative glass collections in the United States.
