Five Continents Bed & BreakfastDescriptionThe Five Continents is an elegant inn, that reflects of the owners world travels and life experiences. He has lived in five of the seven continents of the world, hence the name. The suites are named for different continents - The European Suite, The Asian Suite and the Eurasian Suite. There is also the North American Cottage, located in the garden just off the courtyard. All guest rooms are furnished with an eclectic collection of European and American antiques as well as reproduction pieces.
The house itself is a two story Greek Revival galleried house redone in the "Italianate Style" with the original carriage house and dependency. It preserves and radiates the spirit of the late 1800’s with original details such as the 14 foot cove ceilings, medallions and the original crystal chandeliers in the parlors. There are eight fireplaces, all with the original mantles and ceramic tile hearths set into hard wood floors.
A hot gourmet breakfast is served daily in dining room according to the guest’s schedule. It consists of two courses with fresh seasonal fruit or fruit and yogurt, freshly brewed coffee or a selection of fine teas and a choice of juice.
