Maine State Aquarium DescriptionThe Maine State Aquarium is located on the water in beautiful West Boothbay Harbor. The aquarium is operated by the Maine Department of Marine Resources. The main gallery of the Aquarium showcases the rocky coast of Maine. A collection of regional fish and invertebrates is presented. The pride of the Aquarium is a collection of extraordinary lobsters of all sizes and colors. Exhibition of sportfish is of major interest to anglers. There is also an 850 gallon tank that is filled with sharks and skates.
