The Percy Inn

The Percy Inn is located in the middle of Portland's West End Historic District at Longfellow Square. In 1997, after long period of decay the building was acquired and full restoration begun. In late 1998 it was reopened as an inn. The two-year restoration project included a great number of improvements beginning with a new roof, state-of-the-art windows, new heating system with private room controls, completely new plumbing and electrical service, new walls and ceilings and so on. Twenty inches of sound insulation disunites floors from ceilings.
Every room in The Percy Inn has its own personality and each shares a feeling of history connected with the comforts of today.
The Percy Inn is a non-smoking bed and breakfast. Each room owns its individual temperature controls. Though air conditioning is rarely needed, all the rooms have cooling systems.
Along with the breakfast room and Poet's Corner, the inn features a fireplaced living room with a big library of books and compact discs. Compact disc players are in guest rooms. A collection of almost 400 movies is kept in the armoire, as well as the grand piano. Also there are landscaped side and back yard, providing place to read and relax.
