Faneuil Hall MarketplaceDescriptionOpened in 1976, Faneuil Hall Marketplace continues to attract huge crowds of tourists and locals throughout the year. It includes five buildings set on brick and stone plazas. The central three-building complex is on the National Register of Historic Places. In warm weather, Faneuil Hall Marketplace is busy from just after dawn until well past dark.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace consists of three block-long annexes: Quincy market, North market, and South market. Quincy Market is the central Greek revival-style building at the marketplace. (Sometimes you'll also hear the whole complex called Quincy Market.) Its central corridor is the food court, where you can find anything from a slice of pizza to a full Greek dinner. Along the arcades there are vendors selling sweatshirts, photographs of Boston, and arts and crafts. The North and South markets house a great number of chain stores and specialty boutiques.
