Museum of Fine ArtsDescriptionThe Museum of Fine Arts is Boston's oldest, largest and best-known art institution. It houses one of the world's most comprehensive art collections (approximately 350,000 objects), that includes Impressionist paintings, Asian and Old Kingdom Egyptian collections, classical art, Buddhist temple, and medieval sculpture and tapestries. The Museum boasts one of the largest collections of Monets outside of Paris. Among the other highlights of the magnificent collections are works of Renoir, Degas, Pisarro, Manet, and the American painters Mary Cassatt and Childe Hassam.
