Sierra Safari Zoo

Description

Sierra Safari Zoo opened in 1989 due to efforts of three men, Dale McDaniel, Dave Dawson and Jimmy Martin. First they started with raising parrots, and later - other exotic animals which they desired to share with other people in the community. Now Sierra Safari Zoo is home to more than 40 species of animals and officially the largest zoo in Nevada.

Sierra Safari Zoo shows a wide variety of exotic animals from around the world including primates, reptiles, big cats, small cats, sloth, and much more. There is an area where guests can interact with some of the gentler animals. A scenic picnic area and a pleasant covered patio are available for public use. Guests are welcomed to visit the zoo's giftshop.
