Franconia Attractions
 Located in the heart of the White Mountains, Franconia Notch State Park is a wonderful place for fishing, hiking, biking in summer and skiing in winter. Attractions of the park include Flume Gorge and the famous Old Man of the Mountain.

 Named for its gun-like appearance, Cannon Mountain is located within Franconia Notch State Park. It is one of New England's first ski mountains, and it is still rather popular.

 The governor's apartment when Portsmouth was state capital in the 1700s, this historic 1718 house was the location of many important decisions about New Hampshires future. The oldest colonial wall painting is situated here. Each room is ornamented in the style of a different generation with epoch family heirlooms.
