Gateway to Science

Description

The museum was opened in November 1994 and has established itself as a society resource for the study of science.It works on donations, grants, memberships and admissions. It seems to be very popular place for the young: over 79,000 visitors, approximately 70% school age children.
During 2003-2004 school year, it provided field trip opportunities to over 2600 participants. The museum is also governed by volunteers.
It features over 50 hands-on exhibits relating to many scientific topics.
Available for rent by teachers to provide hands-on science opportunities to students. Everyone can become a member of this scientific community.
