Garnet House Bed & BreakfastThe Garnet House is really wonderful. Inside it you will find a great beauty. As you enter the house you will see at first a marble fireplace with oak carpentry accented the stairs. A chandelier from Europe is also around the entryway. You will see delicate brass fixtures on the door, window and pocket doors in the entryway most likely made by the Dayton Manufacturing Company.
We have already told you about the perfect location of the house. The Garnet House is situated at 54 Linden Avenue in the Huffman Historic district. The house was the home of John Kirby, one of the founders of the Dayton Manufacturing Company. You can visit this company; they made ornamental iron work for railroad cars. It would be very interesting.
There are seven guest rooms in the Garnet House. The Timothy room features a porch with a view of the Neighborhood as well as a private bath with beautiful windows, a high ceiling with windows and a walk in shower. The Duglas room features a beautiful oak antique dresser and has a queen size bed. Other rooms are also very good and provide all amenities you need.
