Tyee Lodge

Tyee Lodge was developed in the 1920's by Bush Family. The old manor house is still situated just next door, the caretaker's residence is easily to find just behind. The world famous composer Ernest Bloch has been visiting the manor home for many years. Tyee Lodge has been recently renovated, but was originally built in the 40's.

Tyee comes from the native language known as the Chinook Jargon; it meant the biggest and the best. The house is situated in the trees above the ocean beach and is close to Yaquina Head, that's why we decided to give this house such name.

In the Tyee Lodge you will find five oceanfront rooms to accommodate you. All rooms are furnished with a tree-framed view of the sand, surf, and horizon! Just from your window you will be able to watch the waves. Open your window for fresh ocean air and the sound of the crashing surf. Enjoy the panoramic views from our guest lounge and garden. Have fun at the Tyee Lodge!
