Sea Gull Charters

The Sea Gull Charters offers Deep Sea Sportfishing, Whalewatching, Scenic Cruises, Birdwatching, Crabbing...
A great variety of bottom fish including ling cod, halibut, red snapper, sea bass, rock cod, sea trout, cabezon, kelp greenling and other species are caught in abundance off the reefs of Newport and are available year round. The five hour trips travel one to three miles offshore and the longer trips venture ten to fifteen miles.

Offshore halibut living deep on the ocean floor and some weighing more than 100 pounds are the ultimate bottom fishing experience. Charters travel an average of 30 to 50 miles off shore to find these big ones. Offshore trips for these delicious, whitemeated fish are scheduled from May to August. You can also fish for tuna and salmon!

And that's not all! Finding, following and watching the magnificent gray whales as they blow spouting vapor, water and condensation 10 or 12 feet into the air dive and breach headlong out of the water about three-fourths of their length (up to 45 feet) is a spectacular sight and an unforgettable experience. Meal and Admission

All bait tackle and coffee are provided and included in the cost of sportfishing charter trips.
Fish filleting and cleaning services are available at the Sea Gull docks upon your return.
Ice and fish bags are sold in the charter office.
