You will find the six guest rooms in this stately home, with its formal entry foyer, three floor open stairway and cozy sitting room, offer the blend of serenity, peace and quiet of by-gone days with today's modern comforts.
This 1860's mansion was built by Jacob Uhrich, a wealthy landowner. From 1917 to 1941 this home was owned by Milton S. Hershey and used as his boys' home, Purity Hall at Harpers. In 1986, Dick and Jeannette Hess purchased this mansion and after lovingly restoring this charming home decided to share it with others by creating Swatara Creek Inn Bed and Breakfast. You will enjoy the fruits of Jeannette's dedicated labor in making her home/Inn your home away from home.
