Philadelphia Museum of ArtDescriptionConstructed in 1928 of Minnesota dolomite, the building of the Museum of Art is modeled after ancient Greco-Roman temples but on a grander scale. The building was designed by Julian Francis Abele, the first African-American to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Architecture.
