Philadelphia Attractions
 Two documents of fundamental importance to American history - the Declaration of Independence (1776) and the Constitution of the United States (1787) - were signed in this building in Philadelphia. The building was constructed between 1732 and 1756. It is considered a fine example of Georgian architecture.

 Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of the country's leading museums. Outstanding collections of European arts from medieval times through 20th-century, collections of Asian art and modern and contemporary art are presented in the galleries of the museum. But one of the greatest treasures of the museum is the building itself - the splendid and beautifully proportioned Greco-Roman temple on a hill.

 The Liberty Bell became America's symbol of freedom and independence. It rang to call citizens to the first reading of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The Liberty Bell Center houses a bell chamber, an interpretive exhibit area with historic displays and memorabilia.

 Built in 1829, this famous prison was at the time the most expensive building in America. It was designed to reform inmates through isolation. Inmates formerly incarcerated here include archcriminal Al Capone and bank robber Willie Horton. Daily tours are offered.
