National AviaryDescriptionNational Aviary features a wide variety of exotic and endangered birds from nearly every continent. It is home to over different 600 birds, from the smallest of hummingbirds to the towering Red-crowned Crane. The Aviary also presents daily shows. Some birds live in cages, but others occupy tree-filled aviaries that visitors can walk through. Both children and their parents will enjoy Raptor Encounter, showcasing the Aviary's owls, like a Screech Owl, Eurasian Eagle Owl, or Barred Owl.

Getting ThereFrom Downtown Pittsburgh by bus: Board the 16B, 16F, 17B or 500 at the corner of Liberty Avenue and 6th Street, by Heinz Hall. Take any of these routes to the intersection of Arch Street at North Avenue on the North Side. The Aviary is in West Park; enter via the Arch Street driveway.
