 The Hygeia House was built in 1883; it served as both the homestead and practice of Dr. John C. Champlin, one of the island's most successful hoteliers and also the island's only physician. In 1999 the building was purchased and fully restored by Champlin Starr, the great grandson of Dr. Champlin, and his wife Lisa. Now the Starrs and their two young children are the innkeepers of The Hygeia House. They welcome you to visit them and to spend nice time.

 The Gothic Inn is situated by the sea in the heart of the historic district. It combines the convenience of location with the warm hospitality of a family run country inn. Here you can observe the spectacular view of surf and beach, watch commercial and pleasure boats.
