Dixon Gallery & GardensFrench and American Impressionist paintings, British portraiture and landscapes, and the Stout Collection of 18th-century German porcelain are on display at Dixon Gallery. The Georgian-style house, art collection, and surrounding 17 acres of gardens once belonged to Margaret and Hugo Dixon, philanthropists and cultural leaders. After the deaths of the Dixons, their estate opened to the public as an art museum and still remains one of Memphis's most important museums.
