Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Museum of ArtDescriptionAbout eight miles from downtown Nashville, there is a place where you can walk in beautiful gardens, wooded areas, see different styles and periods of gardens. Each garden (a Japanese garden, herb garden, water garden, wildflower garden, etc) has a special purpose presenting a particular group of plants or garden style.
The Museum of Art is located in the original Cheek family mansion, which was built in the Georgian style with many architectural details brought over from Europe. The Museum features the world-class collections of American painting and sculpture, English and American decorative arts and traveling exhibitions.
