Bob Bullock Texas State History MuseumDescriptionA 35-foot-tall bronze Lone Star sculpture welcomes visitors in front of the Museum, and a showy terrazzo floor in the Museum’s rotunda features a campfire scene with permanent themes from Texas’ past.
The main person behind the foundation of the Texas State History Museum was former Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock. The Museum is a division of the State Preservation Board.
The exhibits demonstrate the history and tradition of the Lone Star State in various themes, like land, identity and opportunity. The three floors holding each theme include state-of-the-art interactive exhibitions and media presentations with original artifacts. There are also additional theaters, films and interactive computer demonstrations. The museum exhibits the artifacts from around the state, accompanied by unusual multimedia special effects.
