Dallas World AquariumDescriptionThe aquarium boasts more than 85,000 gallons of salty water with marine wildlife from around the world. Move through the 22,000-gallon tunnel to watch a magnificent view of reef life. Many animals discovered at the top of the food chain can be seen in the Predators showing. Ten 2,000-gallon displays demonstrate sea habitats from around the world - Palau, Southern Australia, Lord Howe Island, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Bahamas, British Columbia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Japan. Representing the waters of four continents, three oceans and different seas, the aquarium provides a glimpse of the underwater world. The Orinoco - Secrets of the River rainforest exhibit showcases the comparatively unknown South American Orinoco River reservoir. Situated wholly in Venezuela, the Orinoco River starts along the Venezuela-Brazil border in the Parima Mountain Range and continues around 1,600 miles before it moves into the Atlantic Ocean. The tropical rainforest and savannas in this area are home to unique concentrations of flora and fauna.
