Old City ParkDescriptionThe city's oldest park has plenty of lush and landscaped gardens and a restored Victorian age town. Situated near downtown, the 13 acres of stretching green are intensified with Victorian-era homes and stores. Inside each of these buildings tourists will discover volunteers demonstrating weaving, cooking, blacksmithing and other traditional skills of the bygone era.
The park is a living history museum and is under the operation of the Dallas County Heritage Society. The society plans several events during the year at the park, including the yearly Candlelight Country Fair and an Old Fashioned Fourth of July.
Visit the Historical Village of Dallas with your group or personally and experience history. There people believe in living history and as a part of that mission, various hands-on, educational programs are offered for visitors all ages.
